Back to School....

We took a day trip to Athens, GA yesterday to see UGA's campus. It was amazing!! First stop...visitor's center and a map....

We then found a gate open to the football practice field...

There is a road you can drive through and a walking path that looks right onto the stadium...

Below was one of our favorite parts of the whole trip. This is the building for all the football players to work out and practice indoors. There were also awards, stats, and pictures all over the walls. It was a beautiful building and we were the only ones in it. Actually, it kind of felt like we were trespassing...but hey, all the doors were open!

Went to their beautiful bookstore where we bought UGA t-shirts...

Saw the building for Ryan's MBA program if he were to come on campus...

Behind this fountain is the field/grass patch where the 1st football game was played in GA...boy have we come a long way!

The name of this place was "Old School"...this school was founded in 1785...talk about old!

Loved the southern charm to this whole campus!

The famous "Arch"....apparently you aren't supposed to walk through unless you graduated because the myth is that if you walk through before...then you won't finish and graduate. I hope that doesn't apply for a master's!

Then we walked through the charming down town Athens where there were all sorts of places to eat and shop at...

They even had an old movie theater still in operation...

After walking several miles in 100 degree weather...our feet were sore, we were sweaty (notice how shiny we are in the picture), thirsty, and starving so we stopped at this amazing restaurant called Sr. Sol and ate so much we had belly aches!

We had such a fun time seeing the campus. It was so beautiful and huge! You can tell we are used to in comparison, small BYU-I with no sports. This was a great trip to get us excited for Ryan's schooling. We loved it and can't wait to go back and watch the "Dawgs" play some football!
