Under-qualified

I have been working with the beehives in my ward for almost 2 years now, man do I love those girls and leaders! Well a couple of weeks ago I was called into the Stake YW Presidency. Talk about a shock. I was so not ready for this and I feel too young and inexperienced to be in this role. It is bitter to leave the girls and leaders I have grown to love so much, but sweet to be working and learning with people in the stake. It will be busy especially with a baby, working, and having a husband work and go to school but I am excited. Amazing how the gospel allows you to grow in so many aspects and I know that the Lord helps us along the way.

Hi Brittany,
You will be amazing! There is a reason the Lord needs you there. Be prayerful then pay attention. He will let you know the direction to take. Because of your age, you will be invaluable in helping others know the challenges our YW face today...like now, not 15-20 years ago when they might have been YW. This is also a great chance for you to learn from others. I was in a presidency once as a young Mom. The president and other counselors we the temple president's wife and the former stake president's wife. Intimidating for sure but I learned so much about leadership and how to serve. Good luck!!

I agree that you will do great! I'm sure the girls you interact with will love your insight and that you will be able to relate to them in a different way. And you will learn SO much!
