Unemployment

It's true...Ryan has been unemployed for 3 weeks now. Ryan went into work like any other day, however, when he came home he no longer had a job. What happened? Well the board of directors came in that morning and told all of them that they were shutting down N4D and that none of them would have a job anymore. Nice huh? No severance, no warning. We feel so incredibly blessed though because 2 days later he got an interview with a company called Dow Chemical and got the job! He is starting as a contract worker because they didn't even have an actual position posted so they have to give equal opportunity for employment. However, they will be training him for the position so unless he really doesn't perform well he should be hired on soon as a full-time employee. He will be working with account management with the 3rd largest chemical company in the world. It took a while for all his records to come in so he hasn't started yet but finally starts on Monday. So the last 3 weeks Avery and I have really enjoyed having him home.

Heavenly Father works in so many ways and through so many people. A couple months before Ryan lost his job, our bishop met this man from Dow Chemical on an airplane. The man began to tell him that they were possibly looking to hire someone. Our bishop mentioned Ryan's name and said that he would be a great employee. Because of our inspired bishop and our loving Heavenly Father, Ryan was able to immediately get a job. In fact, Ryan set up an interview with Dow right before he found out that he didn't have a job anymore. Also, I just happened to start teaching piano again, the exact same day that Ryan lost his job. Also, we received a large tax return just a week after he lost his job. I feel so grateful to my Heavenly Father who has so richly blessed mine and my family's lives. I know that He has a plan for all of us and protects us in life's storms that come our way. I have faith and a firm testimony that our Heavenly Father LIVES and LOVES us.
