Phoebe and Grandpa are always so fun to go and visit. They took such good care of us. This visit was special because we got to celebrate Grandpa's birthday!
Avery wasn't too sure about being held by either of them, but she liked playing with them and absolutely loved going up and down their step into their sun-room! Avery has now seen them when she was 2, 7, and 15 months. She was definitely the most difficult this time. She didn't sleep well and she was so exhausted from everything we had been doing that she cried a lot. We still had a blast but we were all exhausted! Good thing Pop came with us to help out.
We had some intense shuffleboard games...actually I was terrible (it's been too many years since my sister and I had the most incredible come from behind win over my grandparents), but Ryan and Pop had 3 intense games!
Avery was obsessed. She thought that the shuffle board sticks were so funny.

After our day at the beach, we brought home pizza and cake and had a pre-birthday celebration for grandpa.
Sunday was grandpa's actual birthday and he got to open presents. We gave him a picture collage and frame of pictures from this trip. He then surprised us with a huge Easter basket. It literally was a cooler filled to the brim of any Easter candy you could ever imagine. Avery ended up getting 3 Easter baskets, not bad.
Then we had Avery's first Easter egg hunt. At first she was unsure, but then loved it. Especially when she found the prize of Starburst Jellybeans in each egg.

Thank you so much for having all of us Grandpa and Phoebe. We love you so much. Happy Birthday Gramps! We can't wait till next time.
